I'm Azul, an international student from Mexico City, currently in my third year of Fine Arts with a background in design. I moved to Canada three years ago, learned a new language, and figured out how to build a life from the ground up.

Right now I'm working three jobs while taking six classes. It's a lot, but it's also why I care so much about making the student experience feel a little lighter for everyone. I know what it's like when the financial side of school weighs just as heavy as the academic side; and I think that perspective matters when you're sitting at a table trying to represent students.

I bring a background in art and design, which means I naturally think about how spaces feel, how people connect, and how small creative touches can make a campus feel more like home. I'm always finding my way into cultural projects around campus and the city because that's just where my energy goes. I'm not running because I have all the answers. I'm running because I understand what students go through—because I'm right there too.
